The older Dell monitors we have with locking buttons only lock the monitor at the bottom of its travel. If I unlock it the monitor stays in place until I move it up and then it stays at that position without using the lock button.
HthYea, I will give that a shot. From what I can tell they don't have any mechanism at all which I find rather interesting since previous models did.
Every year, Dell ships millions of computers to businesses. To help companies avoid desk clutter, Dell often bundles speaker bars with monitors, allowing users to listen to sound from their computers without traditional PC speakers taking up desk space. Dell speaker bars attach to the bottom of compatible LCD monitors and provide reasonably good sound for their size. Although convenient, speaker bars cannot provide the full sound and depth of larger speaker systems.
Therefore, if you want to change or upgrade your computer speaker system, you may want to unlock and remove the speaker bar. 3.Grip the thin metal tab handle that extends from the right side of the speaker bar where the bar attaches to the bottom of the LCD screen, using your right hand. Use your left hand to grip the far-left end of the speaker bar. Push in slightly on the thin metal tab handle while using your left hand to push the speaker bar to the right. After you push the speaker bar slightly to the right, the tab locks securing the speaker to the monitor will disengage.

Continue sliding the speaker bar to the right until you can remove it from the monitor completely.
